OverviewAlthough this is
technically not a "class," it is a learning tool for your
DBA's. This service allows shops that are too small,
under- staffed,
to get the training that they need. Our consultants, will come in and instruct
your people while working on your systems. Many times the
consultant will create a
Findings document to review
with your IT folks, and will leave them with a
recommendations document as well as teach them on-site
with your systems issues in mind
the skills they need to
keep your database running at Peak Performance.
This engagement is usually about a week to two weeks. The
time is dependant on your needs, budget and the initial
findings.
The mentoring engagement is an
excellent add-on to our Performance and Tuning Consulting
Engagement. Where our consultant will come in for a
coupled of days, perform an
assessment of your system and
then submit to your staff a Findings Document. After
the Findings and Recommendations Document. After this
reviewed by your staff the consultant may Mentor your
staff so that they can gain the skills to tune your
database.
